This hardy perennial poppy features unusual deeply cut and frilled orange-red petals surrounding a black eye. The mature seedpods are frequently used in dried flower arrangements. Plant this poppy in full sun, and in moist but well-drained soils on slightly mounded soils for best repeat performance. The hairs on the leaves, combined with chemicals, in the milky sap deter deer, rabbits, etc.
