Japanese Pachysandra

This Asian native is familiar as a ground cover in partial- or full-shade areas. It grows to 1 feet in height and spreads to an area of 1½ feet. It remains green through the winter and blooms with small white flowers in early spring. It will spread rather quickly and should be thinned periodically to promote good air circulation.
