Beebalm
Monarda is a genus of flowering plants in the mint family that is is endemic to North America. The most common species are Monarda didyma (commonly known as beebalm) and Monarda fistulosa (commonly known as wild bergamot.) Monardas grow across a range of habitats and are renowned for their fragrant leaves and colorful flowers which are magnets for pollinators especially bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. These plants were favored by Native Americans for medicinal uses.
