Geum rivale ‘Leonard’s Variety’ is also known as Water Avens. It grows 18 inches high and blooms from mid May to mid June with flared, semi double pink to orange flowers that are held on wiry reddish brown stems above a clump of lobed basal leaves 10 inches high. Plant it in full sun to partial shade. It is hardy in zones 3 to 7.
