Bright yellow, saucer-shaped flowers cover Sunshine Superman star tickseed (Coreopsis pubescens 'Sunshine Superman') from summer to frost. This cultivar of a native perennial was discovered in wild populations in Missouri glades (areas with thin soils over bedrock that will not support tree growth). Plant it in full sun and average soils. Star tickseed attracts butterflies and honeybees, and thrives in the heat and humidity of summer.
