The Red Dwarf Tree fern is a non-flowering evergreen fern which is native to Brazil and is hardy to USDA Zone 9. It grows to a height of 6 feet in partial to full shade and consistently moist soil conditions. As the new fronds emerge they are an attractive reddish color. During the growing season, it can be used as a specimen plant and is resistant to deer.
