Red Rat-tail Cactus
Bright reddish-orange tubular flowers appear all along the sinuous stems of this cactus from Oaxaca in early spring. This species is adapted to growing in cracks and crevices of cliffs, etc. The small pale yellow spines that cover the stems are difficult to remove and should be avoided. Bright light and exceptionally well drained soils are required.
