Dwarf Golden Sweet Flag

Grassy-leaved sweet flag is native to Japan and East Asia and loves a wet environment. It has shiny, curved, narrow leaves that are bright green with pale yellow stripes. The leaves and rhizomes have a sweet scent. The inconspicuous yellow-green flowers grow in short spikes and bloom from July to September. This plant grows to 12 inches in height and forms a tuft about 9 inches in diameter. Grow in moist soil in full sun to part shade or use it at the edge of ponds or bogs where it will spread by rhizomes.
