Michael Dixon (b. 2003) is a composer and performer based in Bloomington, Indiana, where he is pursuing an M.M. degree in composition at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. He began playing the carillon at the University of Florida in 2022, studying under Dr. Laura Ellis. He is certified by the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America and serves on multiple committees within the organization. Besides writing music and playing the carillon, Dixon's musical pursuits include singing, conducting, playing the French horn, and serving a small, rural congregation as a church organist.
