Three Smart Ways to Give to the Garden
Your generosity makes the Garden bloom—in every season, and in so many ways. As a loyal member, you’ve helped us protect endangered plants, welcome more than a million visitors each year, and inspire future generations to care for our natural world. Give a gift today.
1
If you’re 70½ or older, you can make a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) from your IRA. If you are 73 or older, your gift may count toward your required minimum distribution (RMD), lowering your taxable income.
2
You can put your charitable funds into action by recommending the Chicago Botanic Garden as a grantee in your Donor-Advised Fund (DAF).
3
By giving stocks to the Garden, you will be eligible for a charitable income tax deduction, and you may avoid capital gains tax.
