Gem Mix Signet Marigold

Red, orange and yellow single flowers on wiry sturdy stems top the finely divided leaves on this marigold cultivar. Mixes are an easy way for garden designers to provide breadth of complimentary colors to the landscape without having to specify each cultivar (and ensure they all bloom at the same time). Marigolds are a historically important garden component that retains popularity today - thanks to improved pest resistance. Plant in full sun in average soils and moderate fertility. Note flowers for use in arrangements should be staked to ensure straight stems.  In very hot, dry summers, drench the foliage periodically with water to reduce the incidence of spider mites.
