Golden Lace, Golden Valerian
This chrome-yellow clump-forming upright perennial is a superb addition to the perennial border, either as an accent or as a "see-through" plant near the front. The deep green leaves turn purple-bronze in cool fall weather. Thin, wiry stems emerge above the foliage and are topped with airy, delicate masses of yellow flowers that last through the summer. When the flowers fade, the seedheads remain, also gold-colored. Use this plant en masse in the summer border to provide color. A striking yellow addition to the late-summer garden.
