Big Yellow Bird daylily is a striking addition to any garden, with huge 7-inch bright yellow blooms on tall stems with grass-like leaves. It blooms in mid season and may rebloom. The flowers are fragrant and attract butterflies. Although each flower lasts only one day, there are multiple buds on each stalk and several stalks on each plant. The buds open in series, so a single plant may continue to bloom for 2 weeks or more. It is easy to grow and does well in either full sun or part shade.
