Madagascar Ocotillo
Madagascar Ocotillo is a small tree or large shrub with short, vertically-paired leaves and spiraling rows of spines. Small white male or female flowers emerge near the apex of the stem and are more of a 'plant geek' interest than ornamentally showy. The grayish-white stem is relatively thick. If plants of both sexes are present a crop of small nuts may be forthcoming.
