I work for Plants of Concern, a community science rare-plant monitoring program designed to gather standardized, long-term regional monitoring data to detect population trends. The program is a collaboration of trained community scientists, land managers, and researchers using science to best conserve rare plants and habitats. My work involves coordinating monitoring in Northeast Illinois, reviewing and updating our database, engaging in outreach at the Garden and beyond, and analyzing and visualizing collected data for our collaborators and the public.
