Trumpet Hybrid Lily

Lilium ‘Golden Splendor’ has large trumpet- shaped flowers in varying shades of yellow with maroon stripes on the petal reverses. The flowers are 6 to 8 inches long, outfacing, and fragrant. It blooms in early to mid summer with 12 to 20 flowers per stem. Golden Splendor is a Trumpet hybrid. Trumpet lilies are typically tall with large, very fragrant trumpet-shaped flowers. They are the least shade tolerant. They generally bloom after Asiatic lilies and before Oriental Lilies. The unsurpassed grace and beauty of this lily make it a lovely addition to the garden. Lilies love full sun but will do well in partial shade. They tolerate hot summer days, as long as the bulbs are deep enough to remain cool. Lower plants surrounding the lilies will help protect their roots from drying out. Lilies make an excellent cut flower with long-lasting blooms and buds that continue to mature and open after cutting.
