The 20-year-old Bitter Jester Music Festival in downtown Highland Park has become a destination event. On June 8 and June 15, showcase performances featuring BJMF alumni will take place at the Chicago Botanic Garden's Music on the Esplanade series. Many BJMF alumni have gone on to perform on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Saturday Night Live, and American Jukebox, as well as at Lollapalooza, Riot Fest, South by Southwest, and the Ravinia Festival.
