New! Have you ever looked at an oddly shaped tree or stump and wondered how it came to be? Ever mused on the pattern of bark or the types of trees in a grove? Tom Wessels, author of Reading the Forested Landscape and longtime terrestrial ecologist, will walk you through unraveling the mysteries of our forests in this workshop, using your photos in real time. You will submit up to two photographs of unusually shaped trees, rock formations, woodland stone walls, interesting stumps, dramatic tree bark textures, or anything tree-related that has ever intrigued you on a forest walk. Submission should include the location in the United States. Tom will discuss a selection of the images.
This class will be taught online via Zoom. All registrations must be submitted by March 10. Registered students will receive submission and login instructions on March 14.
