Study bonsai tree species and styles from the Chicago Botanic Garden Bonsai Collection. Bring a notepad for drawing and fleshing out ideas, and up to two of your own bonsai. There will be no tree work done; this is a group activity to study and develop a basis to evaluate and appreciate branch structure, trunk movement, and base development.
