New! Explore the art form of coiled pine needle basketry in this hands-on workshop. Learn about cultures in the United States and globally that practice this technique, while being guided through the process yourself. You will learn the basics of sustainable collection, cleaning, and preparation of pine needles and then embark on the process of coiled basketry. Practice forming a base, building walls, and closing the weave using only pine needles. All skill levels welcome. Lunch is on your own. All supplies included. Additional pine needle bundles will be available to take home.
