Small-leaved Clusia
The nomenclature of this tropical evergreen is uncertain, not being referenced in any current botanical literature. It may be synonymous with or a variety of Clusia rosea, a native of Florida and tropical America. It has found its way into the trade, however, useful as a nice background shrub or hedge plant, with a nice upright habit. The glossy leaves are obovate --broad at the tip and tapering down to the petiole -- and stiff and smooth. It rarely flowers.
