Coronation Gold Yarrow
Achillea 'Coronation Gold' has deep yellow flowers tightly clustered together in large, flat-topped flowerheads. The stems stand 2 to 3 feet tall with fragrant, silvery green foliage. 'Coronation Gold' is sterile and will not crowd out its neighbors like other yellow seed-grown varieties. It is attractive to butterflies while resistant to deer, rabbits, and drought. This is a favorite as a cut flower and is also excellent as a dried flower. In 1993 ‘Coronation Gold’ received the Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society.
