Tschonoski Maple

This maple is native to Japan and China and is another snake bark maple. It is not common in the wild and very rare in the trade. It can grow to a height of 20 feet with a slightly narrower spread. The bark is striped with silvery lines and the new foliage emerges as a bright red, turning to yellow and a deeper red in the fall.
