Yasemin Full Moon Maple

This maple is very similar to Acer japonicum and is also known commonly as the full moon maple. It can reach a height of 10 feet with a slightly narrower spread. Reddish-purple flowers give way to samaras that mature to red. The round, palmate leaves emerge as bronze, maturing to olive green. Fall color is purple red. This particular tree is thought to be a hybrid of this species and Acer palmatum and was discovered as a chance seedling.
