Three Sisters Gardening

Saturday, May 11
10 a.m. – noon

$32/$40

New! Inspired by the Three Sisters Indigenous American agricultural practice, learn about a method of growing corn, beans, and squash together so they nurture each other like a family while they grow. Discover a bit of history as well as how to select, grow, harvest, and prepare both heirloom and new varieties suited to the Midwest climate. A garden walk will be included to see how “the three sisters” have been planted with a modern interpretation in the adjacent Grunsfeld Growing Garden. Dress for the weather.
