“Charles Darwin and the Early Evolutionists”

In addition to being a botanist with interests in plant evolution and development, Ned is also keenly interested in the history of science, and in particular the early history of evolutionary thought. Join us for an interesting and beautifully illustrated talk on the Darwins and the many other scientists, clergymen, atheists, philosophers, and natural historians who espoused evolutionary ideas in the century leading up to the publication of On the Origin of Species
