I am an Assistant Ecologist here at the Chicago Botanic Garden. I assist the Curator of Aquatics, Peter Nagle, in maintaining the Garden’s miles of beautiful shoreline. Some of my responsibilities include maintaining aesthetic lake conditions, cultivating and maintaining diverse native plant communities, and the management and removal of invasive species. It is my goal to ensure that our shoreline is healthy, aesthetically pleasing and functioning efficiently, and in doing so, encourage visitors to recognize the value of native plants.
