From seed to seedling to plant, discover the basics of getting your school garden started for the season! Learn techniques and timing for both seed starting and direct growing for our region, vegetables that students can harvest by the end of school and ideas for laying out your garden for the summer, including companion and succession planting. Make connections to the NGSS by using seed starting and garden plants to conduct germination and growth experiments, plant and animal interaction investigations, plant part comparisons and more.
