A seasoned musician by the time he was 18, Jimmy Nick hit the scene at full stride. Within a few years, he was playing at many renowned venues in Chicago including Buddy Guy’s, Rosie’s Lounge, Metro, Double Door, Kingston Mines, and Blues on Halsted, among many others. Jimmy Nick has shared the stage with Eddie Shaw, Lil’ Ed, Bobby Rush, the Mike Wheeler Band, Dick Dale, John Mayall, Ted Nugent, Samantha Fish, Pat Travers, Savoy Brown, Los Lonely Boys, Gov’t Mule, Kenny Wayne Shepard, and more. Today, his mission is to expose the next generation to the blues. Driven by his Motown-tight band, Don’t Tell Mama, featuring (Hot Rod) Rodney Brown on saxophone, (blues hall of famer) Kenny Hampton on bass, and Brady Williams on drums, Jimmy Nick excites crowds with his electrifying guitar work, fresh harp, clever lyrics, and animated stage theatrics. His high-energy blues and rock-n-roll captivate audiences and forge instant fans.
