This book lives up to the description on its cover. Not only does the author, a garden writer and stylist, present detailed plans for elaborate, large water installations, but she also provides suggestions for small water container gardens. The photographs, whether just of aquatic plants, elaborate waterfalls, shimmering streams, or a simple water feature, are all spectacular. She offers cases studies and projects for various sties. Even if you do not have plans for a water feature in your future, you will probably enjoy examining the inviting indoor-outdoor swimming pool in Australia or the small marble hydrosphere, set in spinning motion by the force of water. Although most of the ideas in this book are beyond an average reader, looking at all of the wonderful ways to display ever changing elements of nature made this book a pleasure to read.
