The 10th anniversary edition of American Nature Writing celebrates Mother Earth in a very special way. This volume features 18 contributions, and many are by women. Each contribution is interesting, and the variety is quite wonderful, ranging from poetry to short stories to essays. One contribution, by 23-year-old Emma Brown, sets the tone for this book, and opens this collection in fine fashion. This volume is certainly a welcome addition in the series, and it proves that nature writing is alive and well in the United States.
