New! This class will investigate composition in depth. It assumes a good working knowledge of technical basics—including correct exposure, filtration, and sharpness—and concentrates on the principles of composition and aesthetic design to convey meaning and emotion. The emphasis is on how technique affects the aesthetics of the image—for example, using filtration to enhance the mood of a scene rather than simply to balance the extremes of contrast. This is a hands-on class, including exercises to illustrate composition. The School’s CEUs=12 hours. FPC elective, master track. | Linnaeus Room
