Light and airy, French macarons are a delicate, fancy dessert to share with family and friends. Bonus—they are gluten-free! The basic almond meringue cookies, when sandwiched together with a variety of fillings, allow you to adapt this sweet treat to your tastes. During class, you will watch a demonstration of how to prepare a classic macaron cookie recipe and two fillings: chocolate ganache and European-style buttercream. Each student will have an opportunity to fill and take home a selection of macarons.
