New! The Garden’s online class on beginning weaving is an enjoyable virtual experience you can take anywhere!
Learn to weave your own wall hangings and tapestries on a frame loom. Explore foundational techniques ranging from traditional tapestry methods to more experimental approaches in this beginner's course. You will create woven samples to practice techniques as well as create a final woven project of your choosing. In addition to hands-on skills, you will also develop an understanding of contemporary weaving approaches. On the first day of class, you will build a cardboard loom to use throughout the duration of the course. A supply list will be sent.
This class will be taught online via Zoom. All registrations must be submitted online two days before your class starts. Registered students will receive login instructions one day in advance.
