On Saturday, June 2, bring your plastic garden pots, cellpacks, trays, and plant labels to the Chicago Botanic Garden. Tthis program diverts reusable materials from landfills. You will find collection bins in one of the parking lots, where you can drive over and leave your items to be recycled.

This program is available to Garden members and visitors as part of World Environment Day programming. Standard Garden parking fees apply; Garden Members receive free parking.

  • Bring used plastic plant containers to parking lot 4.

  • We can accept the following for recycling: plastic garden pots, cellpacks, trays, and plant labels.

  • Please knock out all dirt and debris from materials before bringing them to the Garden.
