SUPPORT THE GARDEN

Volunteer Opportunities - Special Events

Most months, the Garden sponsors festivals and other large events that require volunteer support
to set up, assist visitors, staff activities, and provide programs. All volunteers are encouraged to
sign up for specific dates. Special event volunteers choose dates, often on evenings or weekends,
to participate in monthly or 12 times per year.

Plant Sale	May	Orientation	1/2 day	Help set up outside; staff sales or cashier lines
Model Railroad Garden	May – October	Orientation	1/2 day per week	Assist and greet visitors
Carillon Concerts	June – August	Orientation before first concert	Monday evenings	Distribute programs, monitor attendance
Members Night	July	Orientation	evening	Assist visitors and staff activities
Bulb Bazaar	September	Orientation	1/2 day	Package bulbs; set up; and assist sales and cashier lines
Roadside Flower Sale	October	On-the-job training with others	1/2 day	Help sell, cashier, and wrap
HallowFest	October	Orientation	evening	Assist with guests and activities
Fine Art of Fiber	November	On-the-job training with others	1/2 day	Assist with set-up and visitors
