Employment at the Chicago Botanic Garden

TITLE: Shuttle Van Driver, Security – FILLED

PURPOSE: To drive a van to transport staff, volunteers, and other personnel to their workplaces within the Chicago Botanic Garden.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
1. Driving shuttle van on designated route at designated time to transport riders.

2. Providing assistance to any riders who need or request it.

3. Keeping records of ridership as requested by the Security Department.

4. Keeping van clean, fueled, and in working condition.

5. Providing reasonable assistance to security officers when requested.

DEPARTMENT: Security

REPORTS TO: Manager, Security

SUPERVISES: None

COOPERATIVE RELATIONSHIPS: All departments as required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: High-school graduate or equivalent. Good oral and written communication skills. Licensed driver insurable by the Society. Must be able to lift and carry 25 lbs. Must be able to work overtime as required by the operational needs of the department.
