Employment at the Chicago Botanic Garden

TITLE: Seasonal Custodian — FILLED

PURPOSE: To clean and perform custodial maintenance for all building facilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Help in the maintaining of public areas inside and outside during the busy season. Help with set-up of shows, meetings, special events, and weddings.

Maintain public areas such as the picnic area, parking lot trash receptacles, Children’s Garden, south washroom facilities, Evening Island facilities, Fruit & Vegetable Island facilities, McGinley Pavilion facilities, CLC Center, and any scheduled outdoor events.

DEPARTMENT: Custodial Services

REPORTS TO: Foreman, Custodial Services

COOPERATIVE RELATIONSHIPS: All departments, as required

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma and two years' previous custodial experience. Licensed driver insurable by the Society. Must be able to operate floor cleaning equipment and lift and carry 25 lbs.
