TITLE: Spring Science Sleuths Instructor, School Programs – FILLED
PURPOSE: To facilitate hands-on science field trips for grades K-6. The instructor will deliver an informal science curriculum with an emphasis on botany.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Attend mandatory trainings.
2. Facilitate school field-trip programs on site.
3. Assist with the preparation of program materials.
4. Work closely with volunteers in the delivery of programs.
5. Other projects and duties as assigned.

REPORTS TO: Coordinator, School Programs
SUPERVISES: N/A
COOPERATIVE RELATIONSHIPS: Other Center for Teaching and Learning program areas, Visitor Programs, Horticulture, Custodial Services
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Available to work 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday, starting April 13 to June 5, 2009. Instructor must be comfortable teaching outdoors in various weather conditions and able to work well as a team. The ideal candidate will have a background in education and science with the ability to instruct students grades K-6.
