TITLE: Instructor, Camp CBG
PURPOSE: To instruct 2 ½ hour, five-day programs for children ages 2 to 12 for the Camp CBG summer day camp program. Programs are hands-on, inquiry-based, outdoor science experiences.
PROGRAM DATES: Eight one-week sessions, June 14 – August 13. No camps the week of July 5.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Instruct groups of 12-15 children. Supervise campers at pick-up and drop-off site.
2. Morning instructors work from 8:30-12:30. Afternoon instructors work from 11:30-3:30.
3. Prepare syllabi and lesson plans in cooperation with the Camp Coordinator.
4. Request or purchase supplies in accordance with the established procedures.
5. Attend mandatory training and pre-camp Parent Orientation.

REPORTS TO: Camp Coordinator
SUPERVISE: Campers, volunteers
COOPERATIVE RELATIONSHIPS: Primarily other CTL staff, Camp CBG staff, campers, and parents
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Must be available for a minimum 2 weeks of summer. Weeks do not need to be consecutive. Extensive teaching experience required, preference given to those with experience and/or interest teaching science, environmental/outdoor education, and art with early childhood or middle school experience. B.A. or B.S. in education or related field required. Must be comfortable working outdoors, standing for long periods of time, and able to lift 25 lbs.
