Lecturer Biography: Ann Wright

Ann Wright, Deputy Under Secretary, Marketing and Regulatory Programs (MRP)

Ann Wright is Deputy Under Secretary for Marketing and Regulatory Programs at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Most recently she served as Senior Policy Advisor to Majority Leader Harry Reid on Agriculture Committee matters. Before joining the staff of Senator Reid she was a lobbyist for Consumers Union on energy and trade issues. Previously she worked with farmers and non-profit organizations at the Sustainable Agriculture Coalition in Washington, D.C. and served as a policy advisor on agriculture issues for Senator Paul Wellstone of Minnesota and Senator Paul Simon of Illinois. She is from central Illinois and earned her Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Illinois State University.
