Symposia and Lectures

Symposia and conferences allow you to attend a single- or multi-day program on a specific topic ranging from stone in the landscape or plant conservation issues to horticulture therapy or youth gardening.

Participants will learn from both national and international experts and have ample time to network with gardening peers or professional colleagues. Continuing education units (CEUs) from professional associations are available for most symposia and conferences.

Woody Plants For Midwest Landscapes Symposium DOWNLOAD BROCHURE Friday, February 20, 2009 9 a.m. to 3:40 p.m. Come spend the day with professional peers as we explore placing an environmental and monetary value on urban trees. Topics will also include tree health updates for 2009 and adapting a "do no harm" philosophy for long-range planning of healthy urban forests. Green-industry professionals who work with woody plants will find this symposium helpful for daily operations and long-range planning. Registration includes morning coffee, lunch and parking.
