Getting to the Garden via Public Transportation

If you plan on traveling to the symposium via public transportation, the Chicago Botanic Garden is providing a free shuttle service for symposium participants and their guests from both the Glencoe Metra station and the Lake Cook Metra Station.

Please plan on meeting a Chicago Botanic Garden vehicle (clearly marked) per the following locations and times:

Arrivals
7:20 a.m. Departs from Glencoe Train Station (Union Pacific North Line)
7:40 a.m. Arrives at the Chicago Botanic Garden Visitor Center

Or

8:10 a.m. Departs from Lake Cook Train Station (Milwaukee District North Line)
8:35 a.m. Arrives at the Chicago Botanic Garden Visitor Center

 

Departures
4:20 p.m. Departs from the Chicago Botanic Garden Visitor Center
4:30 p.m. Arrives at the Glencoe Train Station

Or

4:45 p.m. Departs from the Chicago Botanic Garden Visitor Center
5:00 p.m. Arrives at the Lake Cook Train Station

 

Additionally, the Braeside Metra station is located near the Garden within walking distance. Once you arrive at the Braeside station, you may walk to the Garden. You may also summon a cab by calling the 303 Taxi Cab Company at (847) 729-0303. To walk from the Braeside station, head west approximately one mile along Lake Cook Road (also known as County Line Road) to the Garden entrance.

For a schedule of trains, contact Metra at (312) 836-7000 or www.metrarail.com. From the Glencoe Metra station you may take the shuttle or a PACE bus to the Garden.
