Service
Symposia and conferences allow you to attend a single- or multi-day program on a specific topic ranging from stone in the landscape or plant conservation issues to horticulture therapy or youth gardening.
Participants will learn from both national and international experts and have ample time to network with gardening peers or professional colleagues. Continuing education units (CEUs) from professional associations are available for most symposia and conferences.
Finding Nests
For thirty years Ms. Macnamara has studied the collections and traveled with scientists at the Field Museum of Natural History, observing wildlife and their habitats firsthand. Ms. Macnamara’s art demonstrates how art and science can support each other and further environmental considerations. A book signing will follow in the Fairchild Room. Ms. Macnamara’s recent book, Architecture by Birds and Insects, will be available for purchase. Peggy Macnamara’s lecture on Saturday, May 30 is presented in conjunction with the Joutras Gallery exhibition “The Natural Art of Nests”. It will be on view from May 3 through September 28, 2009.
