To expedite your call, have your credit card number ready along with your course selections.
Register In Person
Walk-in registrations will be accepted between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays in the Registrar's office, located in the lower lever of the Regenstein Education Center.
Chicago Botanic Garden members pay the lower fee listed for all classes. Become a member and receive a 20 percent discount on most classes and much more.
Register early! To help ensure that the classes you want are not cancelled due to low enrollment, register early and encourage your friends to do the same. Preregistration is necessary for all classes. Enrollment is limited for each program.
E-mail correspondence will be utilized to provide students with the most current information for courses. Confirmation e-mails are sent to each paid registrant when a registration is processed online. Please print and retain this record as your reciept as well as for entry into the Garden. The School encourages everyone to provide an e-mail address to the registrar. If you register less than one week prior to the course start date, you may not receive a confirmation notice. Supply lists, required text, or directions will be sent under separate cover. Certificate Programs required course materials can be found under each program of study under the "view course content" menu on the page.

Refund requests must be submitted to the registrar in writing and postmarked or emailed prior to the program’s start date. The registration fee will be refunded less a 10 percent processing charge. A refund is issued in the form of a credit on file (to be used for future programs), a check, or a credit to the credit card used to register.
Fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable on and after the program’s start date. The Chicago Botanic Garden cannot refund fees requested on or after the start date of a program or for sessions missed due to student illness or other personal situations.
Registration fees for courses grouped and priced as a series will be considered one program and subject to all of the above guidelines. A refund request must be received prior to the start date of the series' first class session and will subsequently cancel your registration in every session of the series. If you choose to re-register for other sessions in the series, the special discount does not apply.

Courses canceled by the Garden due to low enrollment or hazardous weather conditions are refunded automatically as a credit on file.
Weather can be unpredictable, but whenever possible the School will strive to have updated class information available to students. In case of hazardous weather conditions Monday through Friday, call (847) 835-8261 no more than two hours before the scheduled course time. For weekend classes, please call the information desk at (847) 835-8208. Hazardous weather conditions include torrential rain, high winds, lightning, and heavy snow/ice storms. Classes will not be canceled due to rain or snow showers.
Students travel from across Chicagoland, and each individual should use discretion regarding safe travel. It is the student’s responsibility to call to learn whether a program is postponed or canceled due to weather. The Chicago Botanic Garden does not call students.
