The Chicago Botanic Garden is a place of incomparable beauty with a school that provides an exceptional education in horticulture and garden design. Garden Design Certificate students complete a rigorous educational program of 26 courses requiring more than 600 class hours that prepares them to bring an "Oh, WOW!" experience to landscapes all over the Chicago area.
Taught by horticulture and design experts, students study botany, plant health, garden history, garden techniques, soil, hardscape, and design, as well as learn approximately 400 plant species suitable for Chicago-area gardens.
There are only a very few limited opportunities to be a part of this program each year. If you are interested, apply now so we can bring the Chicago Botanic Garden “Oh, WOW!” experience to your home landscape.
