GLENCOE, IL (October 14, 2016) — The Woman's Board of the Chicago Horticultural Society presents the 11th annual All Aboard! gala amid the festive setting of Wonderland Express, the Garden's indoor holiday exhibition.
The 18th annual Harvest Ball was held recently on the beautiful early fall grounds of the Chicago Botanic Garden, raising $335,000 for the Chicago Botanic Garden. With 385 acres of public gardens, 27 distinct gardens, four natural areas, and 80 acres of lakes, the Garden offers a unique location for an evening of dinner and dancing.

More than 350 guests enjoyed the event, benefiting the Garden’s Regenstein Learning Campus, which provides educational programs such as Science First for Chicago Public Schools students.

The black-tie soiree commemorated the 125th anniversary of the Chicago Horticultural Society, which operates the Chicago Botanic Garden together with the Forest Preserve District of Cook County. Guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres served on the Rose Garden Terrace, followed by an intimate dinner dance in an elegant pavilion on the Esplanade.
