GLENCOE, Ill. (Sept. 9, 2013) – Two colorful personalities have been slated to speak at the 2014 Antiques & Garden Fair, an event renowned for its vibrant indoor and outdoor decorating ideas. Miles Redd, an interior designer known for his quirky brand of cozy glamour, has brought to life rooms infused with boldness, fantasy, and sophistication. Redd will be the keynote speaker at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 11. Danielle Rollins, gracious living expert, tastemaker, author of Soiree Entertaining with Style, and passionate gardener and cook, wants to inspire people to celebrate any and every opportunity to create a memory. Rollins will speak at 11 a.m. on April 12.

The Antiques & Garden Fair heralds the return of spring to the Chicago Botanic Garden from Friday, April 11, through Sunday, April 13, with a special preview evening on Thursday, April 10. Fairgoers will find a variety of treasures in every price range, from classical and contemporary furnishings to botanical art and jewelry in the tents over the Esplanade, Krasberg Rose Garden, and Searle and Runnells Courtyards of the Regenstein Center. More than 100 dealers from Europe and the United States scour the globe for months to find the best in antique garden furnishings, botanical art, and home and garden design. Indoor display gardens will be donated and installed by five premier landscape designers. For the second year, shoppers may enjoy samples of organically grown wine from Bonterra Organic Vineyards.

Fair hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Advance tickets are available in February online at www.chicagobotanic.org/antiques or in person at the Visitor Center. Fair tickets purchased on or before April 10 are $15 in advance; after April 11 tickets are $18. Garden members receive $3 off each ticket price. A three-day pass is $20 for all. Children under age 16 are free with an adult. For safety reasons, strollers are not permitted in the Fair. Regular parking fees apply.

Lecture tickets purchased on or before April 10 for the Redd lecture are $85 in advance; day-of tickets are $90. Lecture tickets purchased on or before April 10 for the Rollins lecture are $75 in advance; day-of tickets are $80. A combination ticket for the lectures is available for $135. Garden members receive $5 off each listed price. Lecture ticket purchase includes a three-day Fair pass.

The Preview Evening features priority shopping and elegant fare. Preview tickets begin at $250 and are available online at www.chicagobotanic.org/antiques or by phone at (847) 835-6944.

Proceeds from the Fair benefit the Chicago Botanic Garden’s conservation, education, and research programs.
