Yoga is an ancient practice that unites body, mind, and spirit. Practicing yoga increases health, vitality, and self-awareness. Students will learn core movement principles that form the foundation of a yoga practice, as well as breathing and relaxation exercises. We will build strength, promote flexibility, develop awareness, and move energy through the body. Come experience a practice that leads to deep relaxation and a sense of tranquility.

All yoga classes last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Registration Policy

Lifestyle course fees are nonrefundable and may not be deferred or prorated. Preregistration is required for all lifestyle programs. All communications, including confirmation, will be sent via e-mail. Please provide a valid e-mail address and add registrar@chicagobotanic.org to your safe senders list in order to guarantee receipt.

Season fee:

$115 Member
$165 Nonmember

One-time class trial fee: $10

Wear comfortable clothing (sweats, shorts or yoga pants) with socks or bare feet. Yoga mats are required. It is also suggested that you bring a towel with you, as well as a sweat shirt for cool down.

Gentle Yoga

A series of yoga poses and breathing exercises designed and adapted for a tranquil, relaxing yoga experience. In this course we will take a gentle, restorative approach to the practice. All students are welcome. Come and enjoy a sense of peace and balance.

Introductory Yoga

A course for the newer student focusing on yoga movement and breathing basics. We will investigate how the principles of yoga help support health and well-being. All are welcome. Join us as we explore the yoga basics.

Yoga Flow Beginner

The Yoga Flow series combines movement linked to the breath, working the body and engaging the mind. A moderately challenging course for students with some yoga experience.
