Overview: 
There's nothing like a nice drive through the Chicago Botanic Garden, especially when you're paid to do it. As a seasonal shuttle van driver, you would work every weekend and holiday, driving employees, volunteers, and others from a remote parking area to the heart of the Garden and back. Excellent driving record and customer service skills are required.
Purpose: 

To drive a van and transport staff, volunteers, and other personnel to their workplaces within the Garden.

Duties and Responsibilities: 
  1. Driving a shuttle van on a designated route or at a designated time to transport riders.
  2. Providing assistance to any riders who need or request it.
  3. Keeping van clean, fueled, and in working condition.
  4. Keeping records of ridership as requested by the Security Department.
  5. Providing reasonable assistance to security officers when requested.
Qualifications: 

High school graduate or equivalent. Good oral and written communication skills.

Physical Demands: 
Licensed driver insurable by the Chicago Horticultural Society. Must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds. Must be able to work overtime as required by the operational needs of the department.
